Discover Valley Wok

When you're in the mood for a flavorful, satisfying meal in Spring Mills, PA, look no further than Valley Wok. Nestled at 135 Railroad St, this cozy, family-friendly spot offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes, from traditional Chinese dishes to delicious fusion options. Whether you're craving a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or something to spice up your weekend plans, Valley Wok has got you covered.

One of the standout features of Valley Wok is its ability to blend classic recipes with contemporary twists. For example, their Kung Pao Chicken is a fan favorite, perfectly balancing savory, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors. It’s no wonder that locals rave about it in reviews. It’s a dish that showcases how the restaurant pays attention to flavor while staying true to its roots. Of course, their menu offers more than just the classic options. If you're in the mood for something unique, their house-made dumplings, filled with a mix of pork and vegetables, have earned high praise from guests who enjoy a hearty bite of Asian comfort food.

What sets Valley Wok apart from other local dining options is the quality of the ingredients used in each dish. They source fresh, locally grown produce, and it shows in the vibrant vegetables and crisp textures that accompany your meal. The freshness really comes through, especially in dishes like their Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Here, the shrimp is succulent, tender, and coated in just the right amount of tangy sauce, complementing the crunchy bell peppers and onions that make each bite a burst of flavor.

The ambiance of Valley Wok is another reason why it’s beloved by locals. The interior is clean, warm, and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying a meal with family or friends. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down for a long conversation over a plate of food, making it ideal for both casual dining and intimate gatherings. Their friendly staff adds to the overall experience, always ready to offer recommendations or customize your order based on your preferences.

For those who are particularly health-conscious, Valley Wok doesn’t disappoint. They offer a variety of lighter options like steamed dishes and stir-fries that are made to order with a minimal amount of oil. The steamed fish with ginger and scallions is a popular choice for those looking to enjoy something light yet flavorful. If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, the restaurant is accommodating and willing to make adjustments to suit your needs.

The real charm of Valley Wok, however, lies in its customer experience. It’s clear from the many positive reviews that the restaurant has a loyal following, with many customers praising the consistency of the dishes and the attentive service. Regular patrons often mention that it’s their go-to spot when they’re craving a satisfying, no-fuss meal. Valley Wok has built a reputation as a reliable choice for both quick takeout and sit-down meals.

While the focus is on Chinese and fusion cuisine, there are a few other options available that round out the menu. From fried rice to lo mein, there’s something for everyone. Plus, if you're looking to indulge, the dessert menu includes a delectable assortment of sweet treats, such as sesame balls and mango pudding, perfect for finishing off your meal with something special.

In terms of value, Valley Wok is an affordable choice, making it an excellent option for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a quality meal without breaking the bank. Portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you’ll leave feeling full and satisfied, but not overstuffed.

  • Super awesome experience here! Martin is a great chef and keeps the place running smoothly even during the lunch hour rush. I highly recommend that everyone visit if they are in the area. Anyone in State College should make the drive to try out the food. It's better than any Chinese spots in State College for sure!

  • This is a great place for Chinese food in the State College/Penns Valley area. Wonderful lunch specials (appetizers and main dishes) and at good prices (the dinner prices are a little more expensive as one would expect). Excellent home made crispy noodles and both the Hot and Sour and Egg Drop Soups were very good. The cold sesame noodles were excellent. The main dishes we tried were the General Tso’s Chicken (with white rice) and the Shredded Beef Szechuan Style (with white rice). These were both very good and flavorful (we both went for a medium heat level) and also a generous serving size. Overall excellent lunch, with plenty to take home. We will be back.

  • This restaurant has American Chinese food done exceptionally well. The service is impeccable. Very charming interior. A lot of the ingredients taste very fresh. I got hot tea with the meal, which I would highly suggest. Overall, I am certainly coming back. ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ

  • This is such a hidden gem in Central PA! We came from State College in hopes of finding quality Chinese (there is none in State College), and this place did not disappoint! We were thrilled to be met with hot oolong tea and those yummy crunchies with duck sauce. We then moved on to some excellent wonton soup and our main dishes; general tso's chicken, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice and diced chicken with cashews. All were delicious and we left with plenty of left overs for another meal. They also have gluten-friendly options and service was top notch! Will certainly be back, well worth the trip!

  • Wonderful service and food! Best crab Rangoon we have ever had. We had a party of 11 and last minute addition of 2… large party of 13. They were incredibly accommodating. They were super attentive considering they had multiple large parties. Would certainly go back and would recommend to friends and strangers!!

  • Fantastic food seriously all 5 of us were impressed at how good the cooking was here. The service was great too, very attentive. Happily the prices are super reasonable. The place is clean. If I wasn't from hours out of town this place would for sure be in regular rotation

  • The food and service were great !The seating and decoration could use a little update (but you can't eat those)so it really didn't matter much to me. The waitress was helpful and accommodating. The portions were ample we got the lunch specials that came with an egg roll. The hot Oolong tea was outstanding.
